Heritage Ambassadors

An ambassador could be the person you meet in the street when you ask for the way. It could also be a shop owner, a nurse at the local health center or a receptionist at the hotel. The most obvious ambassador is of course a trained guide.

The involvement and commitment of people, organizations, companies and authorities in a World Heritage site is a necessary precondition for long-term sustainable development.
